The Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund in Berlin is a public corporation with self-government. She looks after and accompanies employees from the start of their working life to retirement age. As part of the German social security system, it does not pursue any economic interests, but acts as a service provider on behalf of the contributors and pensioners.

The Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund is the largest of the 16 German pension insurance institutions. It thus looks after more than 23.7 million insured persons and pays out around 11.6 million pensions. In addition, it operates 28 rehabilitation clinics throughout Germany and helps those undergoing rehabilitation to get back on their feet after serious illnesses.
In 2021, it employs more than 25,700 people and manages a budget of 158 billion euros.
